2020 Ford Bronco Reveal
The Ford Bronco was one of the coolest SUVs ever produced for 30 years!!
It was legendary to the off-road crowds, and even became famous when O.J. Simpson had his famous ‘run’ from the cops in his White Bronco barreling down the freeways in California.
Millions of people were disappointed when Ford finally stopped making the Bronco back in 1996, and all those fans have been excitedly awaiting the possibility of its return to the market.
After 22 years of waiting, Ford Bronco fans were beside themselves in excitement when Ford announced that the Bronco would be making a comeback.
The new Ford Bronco will be produced for the 2020 model year, and it will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2019.
There isn’t much that has been confirmed as of yet when it comes to the specific design, or the engine and power trains that will be available. But there has been a lot of theories…..
Many believe that the Bronco will be based off of the 2019 Ford Ranger (mid-size platform), and of popular belief is that the Bronco will be available in a hybrid version. It is believed that there will be 2 door and 4 door versions available.
Other than these details……everything else is more ‘wild speculation’ than anything.
Personally, I want to know if this bad boy is going to be available with a removable roof!!!! Like the old school beasts used to have.
I was disappointed to hear that it would likely be a mid-sized SUV……….I was secretly hoping it would b a jacked-up full size monster!!! But that’s just my dream, haha!
Here are some of the photos on the internet that depict what the 2020 Ford Bronco could look like!
It’s Own Beast
From a design standpoint, there have been many different concepts drawn up and various pictures taken, but only Ford knows what the final product will look like.
Hopefully, Ford does the Bronco right and gives it it’s own identity!!! I’m hoping that it wont just be a Ford Ranger with a full-body rear half of the vehicle. I hope that Ford gives the Bronco an aggressive look that is not mirrored by the Ranger or F150s.
One interesting thing to watch, is to see if Ford equips the new Bronco with off-road options like locking differentials, and impressive ground clearances.
There have been many whispers as to what the engine line-up will be for the new 2020 Ford Bronco, but of course, there hasn’t been ANY confirmation by Ford in regards to what they are planning.
Ford could go with the 2.3 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder motor that thy are planning to equip the 2019 Ranger with. That turbo 2.3 is pegged to have around 280 horsepower and 310 lb ft of torque.
It could even be equipped with the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost motor that is available in the F150s, or even a V8 option. I am guessing it wont be available with a manual transmission, and probably b made available standard with a 6 speed automatic, with possibly a 10 speed automatic option.
I can tell you that I am personally VERY EXCITED to see what Ford brings out at the 2019 Auto Show in January, when it comes to the new Bronco.
And if I win the lottery in the next year…..I will be lined up at the nearest Ford dealership to order one of these bad boys!!!
